eldritch48 0 Posted May 2, 2004 Well, the first question I have is "What is the subject?" I think that maybe I would choose one thing to focus on in this picture...maybe the red on the leaves on the left side of the frame, or the water itself. Either way, I would crop down the top to remove the swatch of white sky, because it is distracting. Link to comment
roy1 0 Posted May 2, 2004 Hi Bradley... a little off topic as far as this picture goes... but:If you find that you really like the art, I would highly recommend getting a cheap film camera(all manual would be even better). That is the best way to actually get into it. Otherwise you will never really grasp concepts and ideas like shutter speeds, Depth of field and their relationship with apertures (unless you get a digital SLR).I also found out I love taking pictures a few years ago when I got a digital camera, that made make the move and get serious about it. I'm very glad I did. a good book would also be a good idea, though this site by itself has so much to offer to new photographers. whatever you choose to do... I wish you best of luck.Roy Link to comment
