Good lighting and exposure. I would cut out a thin strip on the left and the bottom to take out the shadows. I love photos of music instruments.

Ray - You're right, they need to go. Unfortunately, I tried cropping them out, but it put the frame edge too close to the holes and removed too much of the blue at the bottom - it changed the shot too much. I keep meaning to clone out those shadows, but haven't gotten around to it. when I do I'll re-post the results. :-)

I like to take photos of musical instruments, and it's difficult to me to make a good result. This photo inspires me a lot, thank you Tom.

Great shot. I like the straight lines, circles and the warm glow of the material the instrument.
