Hi Laura,

I was not going to make a comment. But you seem to want a comment. This picture isn't your best work. If you photographed the flower in RAW format, try immersing three layers with three different exposure's. I am glad that you exposed white correctly by underexposing your shot... The high contrast shadow is not flattering to the flower. I love your creativity, and just don't see it in this picture.

It's fine, nothing to apologize over...it was indeed photographed in RAW. I consider myself to still be learning how to use this camera, because there's so much more you can do with it, so I think my photography might reach a low-point for a while til I can escalate up the learning-curve again :)

I think its gorgeous lighting... inside of the petals, I really just love the delicateness of the colors.

Uh oh, is this gonna be one of those pix where people have mixed feelings about it? I love when that happens! :-)

I find the out-of-focus front petal distracting.

BTW, I wish you lots of keepers with your new toy, and I hope its complexity won't be detrimental for your creativity.
