greg_givler 0 Posted April 28, 2004 This is a candid photo, taken in light from a lamp to the right of the model. Also sunlight through shear curtains from the front. Comments are welcome. Greg Link to comment
tomfawlsphotography 0 Posted April 28, 2004 Amazing...a 13 year old who'll let her old man take a photo of her?!?! that fact alone makes this is a one in a million shot! :-) But besides that, I like overall "mood" of the shot - thoughtful and pensive - although you might want to soften the focus just a bit to give it a little more "dreamy" feel.. greg_givler 0 Posted April 30, 2004 Thanks Tom, I am thinking of getting a 5x7 of this made for her Mom for Mother's Day. The look she is giving me is just about to change to "Go away Dad, and stop taking my picture!" I caught her just before it changed :) Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 23, 2004 I like the lighting and pose-B+W is always good for candid portraiture! Although, I have few suggestions... 1) I'd like to see both of Rachels arms in the picture-Maybe have both hands under her cheek (between her face and the pillow)... 2) Burn in the pillow (under her arm) and in the upper right-hand corner where it's a little blown out... 3) last, maybe dodge out Rachel's face just a touch. In particlar the part in shadow, but it like the affect it give to the overall quality of the shot-Good Job Greg :) Link to comment
greg_givler 0 Posted May 26, 2004 I agree, but just her allowing me to take a photo is sometimes a chore. You know the expression, "Uh oh, here comes Dad with the camera again..." But good advice, if she ever allows me to take pictures of her again :) I will keep them in mind. As to the burn and dodging, I am working on that in Photoshop, but I find I am not very good at it, but will try again, practice makes perfect... Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted June 22, 2004 My, for a 13 year old she's quite mature looking isn't she? Nice.... Link to comment
