Sinuous stonework

ian cameron

It took a while before I realised why I was drawn to this particular harbour wall. It was the dramatic lighting that finally nailed the reason. The sinuous "S" shape twist and the complimentary gold and blue colours caused me to eliminate the rest of the scene as superfluous.

The "S" shape twist in the harbour wall and it's complimentary

blue/gold colours are all that matter in this extracted scenic. I

hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Nice composition. I think you need one more element, like a bird or a person on the wall, or a more spectacular wave.

Lovely colors. I think if the top of the wall in the distance was even (horizon line) that your image might be improved. Just my honest take. very nice.

This image works for me with it;s inherent simplicity. A bird on the wall (as opposd to a fly) would only draw the eye unnecessarily IMO.

Thank you all for your comments. They are surprisingly variable, which I hasten to add is interesting. On a personal note I adore it. By the way the wall continues still further out to sea and is not therefore a horizon line.
