this is one of the few photos where i feel like im finally getting

closer to what ive been trying for for 5 years. film: sensia 400

cross processed, overexposed 4.5 - 5 steps in-camera. sigma 14mm shot

at about f8. im standing on the ground, not on anything, just tried

to use the wideness of the lens. only complaints are i think i

shoulda panned kinda right, and maybe a polarizer. but tell me how to

mount a polarizer on a bubble lens?

feedback, foolz

What have you been aiming for though over the years? Like what have you been trying to express? Sometimes its the photo's that we dont try over and over till its correct are the best.

I like this photo, it has character, I like the gun, but is it necessary for this womans character?

She doesnt strike me as the character to be holding a gun in a deserted street. Its her clothing that confuses me. See at the moment I think this is a very "clean" shot, and can have alternatives to it. Examples are try a vintage car, have the girl wearing "different" clothes so she is the sort that will stand out in a crowd.

I think it is a cool shot though, you dont have to agree on all of the above I have said, but you asked for help or comments. Thanks so much for sharing.

By the way, dont let any body discourage you, never give up!

yeah, perhaps small elements of it would be different had it been a planned shot. and i forgot to add that there is an off camera flash off to the left too to avoid dark shadows on her face

I love the elements of all your work. This one, is no exception. I find the 2 spots on the lower left a bit distracting. I guess, I don't know what they are. But, I find your work to be an inspiration to me, to push some color ideas.

I like it.
