erin.e 0 Posted April 26, 2004 This womans budgerigar escaped out an open window and visited the golfcourse next door, this gentleman returned the errant adventurer to his home. Comments and critiques welcome as always. Link to comment
deansfurniture5 0 Posted April 26, 2004 A funny picture, but the portrait in the back is distracting, as is the golf club. Link to comment
d_parrish 0 Posted April 26, 2004 What is the story here? It does catch my eye. Simple elements lead like clues in a mystery novel on this one. I'm dying to know what she's fixing to say! Link to comment
hayward 0 Posted April 26, 2004 Excellent. In a perfect world, the woman wouldn't be cut off so abruptly. Link to comment
erin.e 0 Posted April 26, 2004 The guy with the golf club had returned the bird which flew out of an open window after being released for a fly around the room. It went to the Golf course next door and was captured by the golfer. The idea was to get a pic of the bird sitting on the head of the golf club, but the bird insisted on leaping off the driver head and doing victory laps. I presume the pic on the wall is the woman in her youth. Yes John, I agree that the woman has been truncated, unfortunately she was very short, the guy very tall and the bird high in the room! vladimir_bojovic 0 Posted April 26, 2004 The portrait behind is a little bit distracting, but it is not such important. This photo is very original and it is very hard to catch such moment. Well done! Link to comment
hugh_hill 0 Posted April 26, 2004 nice one Erin, works for me considering there was no time for composition unless you glued the bird on the club. (Now theres a thought! ;¬) Link to comment
gemccaw 1 Posted July 11, 2004 I like this a great deal! In fact, I think the portrait on the wall adds greatly to the photo, especially if it is, indeed, the woman holding the golf club (which adds further wacky charm). I am reminded of a quote (from the immortal bard, methinks), "the sweet bird of youth has flown". This quote, as you may know, was the title of a Tennesee Williams play, made into a film starring Paul Newman, back in the 50's. People can nitpick if they want to but fleeting moments such as these must be recorded as is. You have done that with real flare. P.S.--I came round to check out your portfolio based on your brave stand in the current and ongoing (soon to be a major motion picture, I'm sure), Conversano-gate scandal. Link to comment
fredericpascual 0 Posted August 12, 2004 the portrait is not distracting at all..but at the wrong place...must work fine if it was in the middle of the two people.... Some expert guy in PS..can do that. I like the crop.... nice shot 7/5 Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 15, 2004 Funny , first thing i saw was the potrait on wall and marvelled at it. The scene itself is very "homey"...real. Link to comment
