Ken, this is my favorite in this series. . . the Indian corn is the perfect complement in terms of color and theme.

 

But perhaps you should consider another title . . ."the simple life" . . . . (~;

Ken,Your lighting techniques are so refined and consistent. Is this just window light? Any reflectors or strobes or flash?

Thank you for the kind remark Arthur .......... South facing basement window at sunrise. This light only lasts for 3-4 minutes each morning for only 1 or 2 weeks a year due to the sun's movement across the horizon in relation to the window. I use a 2' by 3' piece of white foam core as a reflector about half the time - no flash. My experience with artificial light is that it tends to look artificial - I use natural light when I can.

 

Sometimes a set-up like this will sit on my table for a week or more - watching the light change over the course of the day and noting the time .....

Your mind and eyes move on levels I can't begin to uncover. so much talent and depth given to your subjects. wish I could make time to watch light and record..or pause for a moment and breathe.
