aepelbacher 0 Posted April 24, 2004 This is just wonderful. You really ought to show these "golden toned" farm shots ... they are gorgeous, and would do wonderfully together!! The ears of corn (city girl has forgotten the term for them) add the perfect touch!! Wonderful!! Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted April 24, 2004 Indian Corn, and Wheat, the basics for how the Europeans survived on the North American Continent.....Is that why the title ? *R* Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted April 24, 2004 This series is very appealing, Ken. There's such a great combination of texture, neutral colors and great lighting and it all works. Link to comment
abintraphoto 0 Posted April 24, 2004 Thanks Kim - means alot coming from you ...... sol Lou Ann - thanks - producing these 'themes' in sets of 3 is what I'm thinking too. Roger - the title is from a Moody Blues album of course and the image symbolizes things we have passed down to our children for thousands of years - Food (wheat , corn and milk) .... Shelter (the wooden framework) .... Light and Warmth ( the Lantern) . Becky & Steve - glad you like it .... (-; Link to comment
abintraphoto 0 Posted April 24, 2004 Exactly - that is the real message here. Exactly what will we be passing on to our children's children ? Very good Knicki ... Link to comment
John Peri 1,039 Posted April 24, 2004 Ha ... they were planting these in Neolithic times already. Let's hope we last a little longer .. sometimes one wonders! Ken, this one is even better. Someonhow more fulfilling. I'd love to see you add something live to one of these images one day ... haven't any of those eggs hatched yet? Link to comment
abintraphoto 0 Posted April 24, 2004 Exactly John - we have been passing these things down to our children for a long time. How much longer will we be able to do so - considering the direction the world is taking. Something alive - hmmmm - I'll give it a go. See which one of your models is willing to work with a Texan ...... (-; Link to comment
John Peri 1,039 Posted April 24, 2004 You know something .... there is a Texan from Dallas among my models. How come you didn't meet her first ! Link to comment
peter_daalder 0 Posted April 25, 2004 Best illuminated shot in the whole series, imo. Link to comment

peter_daalder 0 Posted April 25, 2004 So when did you say that Paris Hilton is coming back for a visit to your farm...? John might like to bring his gear along for another model shoot... Link to comment
thomas_turk 0 Posted April 25, 2004 Thats the balance I was looking for in the last shot, Ken. Superb lghting, warm natural colors, and strict, clear HARMONIZING composition. Great gelling of all ingredients..dunno about the title..as this shot brings out strong emotions in the viewer, it doesnt really need one..from it we all have our own stories/feelings/memories..for me.. childhood memories of the farm in Kenya, before electricity, where I spent my early years.. w. roger keagle 0 Posted April 25, 2004 Not ready to count us out......I think we still have much to pass on, this very picture is the direction that the world needs, to know if it all comes apart there is still a small group of humans that care....and will survive.....! *R* Link to comment
