yang 0 Posted July 19, 2001 As I was in Paris for the first time, I took several typical pictures of Eifel Tower which looked similar as some trivial postcards. By my fifth visit to Paris, I shot this one. Comments/Ratings are appreciated. Thanks! Link to comment
bill_storey 0 Posted July 19, 2001 I am a tower worker by trade and I build these kind of things hence I have an extensive tower photo collection. I like the view point it is unusual most people try to show height through elevation but the perspective has done that for you. If you have not already tryed this take a wide angle lens and position the camera directly underneath a tower in the centre and looking perfectly vertical, the effect you get can be quite dramatic depending on the lighting , but try it anyway it should please. chuck_waugh1 0 Posted July 19, 2001 I like the shot's composition, particularly that you did not go tfor the absolutely mirro-image look, but had it slightly oof-center - that adds interest. The sky looks kinda muddy - is that just smog-du-Paris? Or is there a color shift happening somewhere? I might have crunched the top even closer to the top of the frame - like it was so high it almost wouldn't fit. Link to comment
the photo addict 0 Posted January 9, 2005 I agree perfect symmetry sometimes is boring. I shot one of those at the base of this tower at night. I am not at all pleased. Link to comment
