pphaneuf 0 Posted July 17, 2001 This is a straightforward portrait of my girlfriend's dog, Doc (a cross-bred chihuahua, me-think with beagle), please comment... Quote Link to comment
randywilson 0 Posted July 20, 2001 Good job with a difficult subject. Catch light in the eyes is good, nice detail in the white parts of Doc's coat, attentive pose. You need to crop the top at grass's edge, and it would have been nice to have more room on the right. Quote Link to comment
pphaneuf 0 Posted July 23, 2001 Harder than it looks? Heck, yes! Here is a sample photo from the rest of the shoot. There are a few other reasonably good pictures, but he was like that most of the time... :-) Quote Link to comment
mplonsky 0 Posted March 2, 2002 Good focus, good exposure, good expression; it all makes for a good photo. I'd crop away the very top (down to the grass). Quote Link to comment
alex_kinnan 0 Posted March 9, 2005 I really like this and am glad to have found it. There is a really nice weight to the doggie that, combined with the colour and the composition, make it almost pop off the screen. Very nice. Strangely enough, I actually kind of like the bits up top, as the grey really sets off the green while harmonising with the dog's colours. Quote Link to comment
