Phantom Ambulance

stevebert

Shot with a fifteen-second shutter speed, f2.8, ISO 50. The bright reddish "beads" in the streak of light are from the rotating warning lights of the ambulance that drove by.

What does everyone think of this? The only post-exposure decision I

made was to crop out some of the green grass in the foreground. I

thought that a more panaramic view emphasized the horizontal motion

of the vehicle tracks.

Thanks,

Steve

Follow your instincts.... there is a lot of glare in this shot. If I recall correctly, you're using digital camera so you can take lots of photos and get near instant visual feedback ---though you can't get an ambulance to drive by on demand ;)--- Nighttime photography can be very rewarding (or so I've heard)..... keep shooting!!! Try different exposure times and f-stops.... experiment experiment experiment.....
