asimh 0 Posted June 14, 2004 i think this credit card shot works better than the other one in your folder. the hands look crisply in focus and the blur of the wheel is definitely there... good job! Link to comment
jonathan_proulx 0 Posted June 17, 2004 I agree the shot is better than the other credit card photo. It's my favorite so far in terms of composition and lighting, but there's a scratch in the negative so it's not of much value to me except as inspiration to try and get another shot this good. As I did the processing I can't really pass the blame, but this was my first roll so I guess I can't complain either. Link to comment
jonathan_proulx 0 Posted June 18, 2004 I enjoy this one, unfortunately a flaw in the negative prevents it from ever being a fine print, but it may do just fine in this format... comments welcome. Link to comment
asimh 0 Posted June 18, 2004 is the scratch on her ring finger? if you have an ICE capable scanner, it should get rid of it. also, you could touch it up in photoshop. Link to comment
jonathan_proulx 0 Posted June 20, 2004 I have the worlds cheapest scanner, all of these scans are from prints as I don't have a transparency adapter either, so no ICE. But your right, I should take out the scratch for the web, I've uploaded a revision. 30 sec with the clone tool in GIMP and no more scratch. Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted June 26, 2004 These pictures just never cease to amaze me... The thumbnail drawes you in with a hint of textures, motion, and tones, then the fuller sized version adds the detail of the credit card, the tattoo, and the moisture. Really a neat idea for a series (love to see them in a group of three presented in one frame). Also, thank you very much for your comments and tips, it's an inspiration to continue trying and learning. (though I think I'll go totally bonkers before truly learning how to use "curves".). If you'd like to see it, I added a seperate version of my baby's shot with more fill-flash. regards Link to comment
