This little guy was captured in a bear trap baited with old doughnuts

in Northern New Jersey. Shot on assignment for The New York Times.

I like how this is composed, it's amusing. You might consider cropping the image closer, the spaces on the sides doesn't really add all that much to the image. Do like the lighting though.

Good enough documentary photograph to include with text. What is this creature, looks like some type of mustelid, a ferret or something. Here in New Zealand before man arrived there were no land predators and many native birds lost the ability to fly as there was no threat. Introduced pests such as Mustelids are trapped in smaller versions of this bear trap and disposed of because of the massive damage they do to bird life.
