dave_carroll 0 Posted April 16, 2004 The unmistakably kitch mix of art-deco and neon used to be a trademark of American diners, and has fascinated me since I was a boy. Unfortunately they are becoming increasingly difficult to find amongst the uniform blandness of modern fast food outlets. Link to comment

john_curran1 0 Posted April 16, 2004 Too much of a postcard for me. I like the clouds, however. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted April 17, 2004 It's the postcard feel I like! Very apropos to the subject matter. Great lighting! Dave, I live in Worcester, MA where the dining car originated...still some good ones here, but in bad surroundings. Link to comment
root 0 Posted April 17, 2004 Great . . except I would have liked the "E-IN" to have the same bright light as the rest. Please visit my diner folder. I'd love to do a tour of the US shooting nothing but chrome-clad diners, especially at night. Some around here have closed down. Others are being built in this style. Link to comment
