tc_reed 0 Posted April 16, 2004 I'm not sure where to go with this one. Any ideas are welcomed! Link to comment
chriso 0 Posted April 16, 2004 this looks pretty damn nice, i like the strange shaped plants, i am guessing that is the sun in the upper right hand corner, could do with that being altered a bit, but otherwise i like it a lot. Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted April 17, 2004 Thanks for the feedback Chris. I was having a hard time trying to decide if I should even leave the sun in the photo. I liked it more with it, than without. Now, I have no clue how to tone it down without making it appear to be a shiny spot in the photo. I've spent hours altering the tone of the sun. I gave up and uploaded it for review. I figure one of us little creative photo heads should have an idea that will lessen its overwhelming effect. Link to comment
michael_ritchie 0 Posted April 18, 2004 In my opinion you don't have to go anywhere with this one, it looks as if you've already arrived! Great light, mood, and originality. Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted April 18, 2004 Thanks Michael! I know your window shots well.I appreciate your stopping by one of my photo's. :) Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted April 19, 2004 I agree - leave as is. It's obvious it's the sun and should be glowing and circular, so why mess with it? The only thing I don't like (and it's minor), is the inner frame. It looks more like a mis-crop than framing because it's light on one side and dark on the other. The actual photo itself looks cool. tc_reed 0 Posted April 20, 2004 Thanks Kim! I was trying to create the feeling of light being carried from one end of the photo to the other. Kind of a feeling of the sunlight flowing through the print. Guess I could have done without it too. :) I'm glad you like it as it is. I really didn't know if I should stay on it or walk away. The obsessive side of me wanted to keep tweaking the shot. :) Link to comment
sarah marie jones 0 Posted April 28, 2004 I love this TC. From the thumbnail I thought it might be modern sculpture...the two stems and flowers together look figural. This is eerie and evocative of some very primitive feelings, yet such a commonplace subject masterfully handled. Great work Link to comment
uhshopeonuhrope 0 Posted April 30, 2004 i would never have thought of this, great idea, very clever, very cool, like it a lot.i never have anything to photograph around here, so i'm forced to come up with ideas, i've never really thought of anything like this... i may learn from it. Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted May 2, 2004 Thank you, Sarah, for your kind words. Sometimes I find myself looking at the oddest things and want to photograph them, not knowing how the rest of the world will respond once I put them out for display such as here. Then, trying to decide what is finished and what might need one more little touch up. :) Link to comment

tc_reed 0 Posted September 18, 2004 Thanks Jayme. I took this one as far as my mind would allow for the moment. I see it as a work still in progress. :) Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted November 7, 2004 Thank you, again, Michael, for commenting on one of my photo's. I tend to get too wrapped up at times in some of my photo's and don't know when I should walk away. This was one of those moments. Sometimes I am not seeing a bigger opportunity for creativity and sometimes I am missing the obvious details that need correction, and then there are the times when it is done. I appreciate your opinion on this piece. I will consider it complete, for now. :-) Link to comment
