Star Trails - 3/19/04

pretty cool, dude.. but was wondering y the sky is blue and not black ?!! and was this on a hill or cliff ? guessing because the trails r visible even through the lowest shrubs..

I guess the blue color comes from the combination of film and long exposure (this one was about 8 hours). The camera was low to the ground and shot angling upwards - I believe the shrubs you mention are the tops of some trees. This site was in the middle of nowhere so more stars were visible.
