No se' que mas hay en la parte superior de la foto, pero me parece muy buen sitio para cortar... da una sensacion de que siguen y siguen los escalones. Muy conseguida.

Waiting what ? Strange atmosphere : stairs going up, this man going down.... and the middle is empty :-) Really "graphic", indeed.

i fail to see anything great about this shot, its just the cropping which is making it little unobvious, but other than that, it looks like a snapshot of a person sitting on steps in blazing heat. i dont even understand in which slot this shot falls, whether, its a portrait [or environmental portrait] or showing architecture [which has nothing but some steps] or fine art [which i am still looking for].

i don't even understand what am i suppose to critique on ? and how people are rating it as 7/7 & 6/6 .... i like your work...but here it doesnt have any content....and in my opinion if i had a portfolio like yours i wouldnt put such shots in the critique forum .... only my opinion !

Excelente!! Me recuerda un poco a la portada del disco Patience - de George Michael, claro...como concepto.

Sorry but the man is not well defined and the lower left corner needs cropping. Does this really deserve 7/7's and 6/6's ??? I feel there may be a cult of personality here. I like some of your work but some of your 7/7's leave me baffled.

A difficult shot to execute with so many shades of white with good contrast. Well done Pedro.

What is this ***** about the left lower corner needing cropping? This line in the dirt bears a parallel or perpendicular relationship to every other line in the photo. I might have thought, ever so briefly, about cloning it out, but how could you? ? The photographer has taken a very unpromising lighting situation--solar noon on a bright day--and created a pretty interesting photograph. I would be very surprised if that line was not absolutely intentional.

My 2 cents, and worth every penny,

Dear William, my critique of the lower left corner was made with the thought that it was ancillary and that it detracts from the image rendering it less than a 6/6 or higher. I understand your opinion but I find it difficult to understand your anger.

I dunno what all the controversy is about, when I rate a shot, it is more on the initial emotional impact. This one, with the title, definitely has the essence of waiting in it. The lines of the steps and the line in the lower left all balance nicely. Not having the detail on the man? Who cares, he is all of us at one time or another. The only differences among us might be WHAT we were waiting for.
