Portrait with angry skies

Coastal Newfoundland can show some radical weather changes in brief

periods of time. We paused on a walk to get this shot on a hilside

above the trail (which was an abandoned railway right of way). I

would like some comments on the lighting in this picture.

The lighting is amazing; you deserve a lot of credit for recognizing and capturing it. The poses of the people just ruin it for me, though. Tighter, and more candid-looking would have helped a lot.

If the boys weren't there, at first glance, I would have thought it was a painting. Nice shot.

This has great lighting. I love the colors here. I'd like to see it cropped on the left right up to the 1 in 1996. It helps make the subjects larger and more personal. james
