Into the blue....

This will
probably be the last one of these I post. Or not. I did make quite a
few in b&w, which I am yet to develop. Like I was saying before, I
really like the color right now. The simplicity is what I believe
really makes this one. Thanks for comments. =)

The only minus I find is that you can see the velding on the white panels... Then again.. it only shows that you can a well exposured photo! :-) I like it! Ivar

Great shot Anthony, I always rate shots without looking who is the photographer and it was funny to see your name. Besides composition what really works on this shot, and not too many people are aware of that, is that blue and yellow are complimentary colors ( on opposite sides of color wheel) It really ads to the intensity of the shot

I agree with M. Novak; the blue and yellow are what creates a visual "pop". The texture of the shadow is wonderful.

You have a nice eye for composition. The shadow pulls my eye down and then I climb the bright yellow stairs. You left just the right amount of blue sky to please my asethetic sensibilities. Good job!

Thanks everyone. Nothing like a happy-fest~! Mario, I work with advertising, so we are always going for the complimentary color. I knew I had something when I saw this. It took me four visits to get it. I still plan on going once at sunrise, the only time I'm yet to visit this place.

I like the square crop of the last one best so far. The shadow triangle at the top of this one is a bit distracting . . . . and yes, I would crop it square.

Carl, square on the other one yes, but here if you crop square you lose the the sensual curve =) I'll bet the wife will agree ;)

I love the elements of this photo, perhaps your best of this series. I actually like the triangular patch of shadow at the top, it gives the stairs a bit of a twisted illusionary look. If only I could get as much mileage out of something so simple! Great eye for line and shadow, and perfect exposure!

Please don't screw up this lovely image by going arty-farty black-and-white.....I grew up with black and white in the 1950's when colour was a VERY expensive luxury....So many of today's B/W images are both phoney and hypocritically idolised.

Don't worry Robert, this thing is staying color. I don't really like desaturated digitals, unless someone else did them and I can't tell. I can always tell when I do it. =| I did shoot about a roll of Tmax at the same time. I'll have to wait and see what I think.

Lost for words this time. Except perhaps for the fact that because of the spiral stairs. I can see some kind of optical illusion. The tank appears to be leaning slighty to the left at the top. In reality, it is as straight as a pin though.

I don't know If I liked the shadow on the top part of the stair, but cropping it away kinda made It loose some curve....hmm.
