Misty twilight

ian cameron

Coniston water is not normally my favourite of the lakes in this part of the world. However when I arrived in the pre-dawn light and saw the fence and jetty disappearing into a vanishing point, a rising mist pinkening as the first glimmer of sunrise warmed the cold blue of a twilight sky. I felt the hackles on my neck rise and captured the moment on film.

This one really caught my eye when browsing through you excellent portfolio. Really excellent, it does look cold! Love your images.

Very nice shot, Ian. I'm debatting whether it might look even better with the slight foreground cropped out. Or possibly more foreground (nit-picking for sure). I think the filter was a good choice. But then again, I've always been a fan of blue.
