Creating an illusion of perfection??? i have to disagree. what about the recently posted photo of the beggar woman surrounded by passers-by in the street. that is a fantastic and striking photograph. please show me the illusion of perfection there. photography is about creating art with a camera. some art is an illusion of perfection, some is an example the horrors of this world, some is intended to capture beauty in its naturally occuring state. just because YOUR photography is intended to be an illusion of perfect doesn't mean you have to impose such a strict boundary on everyone's work.

 

technical flaws (rain on one side, chopped fingers, minor bits of the composition)aside, this is a fantastic photograph.

What I love most about the photo is how the leaves from the plant behind the model follow, and accentuate, the model's curves.

 

She is also, one must note, as naturally beautiful as her surroundings.
