the grey house 0 Posted April 6, 2004 The Tower at Broadway in the North Cotswolds. Built on an ancient beacon site, Broadway Tower has been home to - amongst others - Sir Thomas Phillips and country retreat for Pre-Raphaelite artists, notably the artist, designer, writer, craftsman, and socialist William Morris. This image was captured late in the evening with fantastic moody light bouncing off the terrific storm that accompanied this photo session. I'd love to hear what you think. geneg 0 Posted April 6, 2004 I like the sky -- what did you do to achieve this effect? Was it just filters or photoshop magic? Link to comment
sallymckay-lepage 0 Posted April 6, 2004 Paul, nice to see you back. Another beautie. I love the green and the orange together...great use of colour. There's only one thing I'd change......I would like to see a little more of the trees to the left or possibly some more of that wonderful chartreuse coloured grass....just a tad lighter. By the way your web site is most impressive !! Did you do it yourself? If so I could use some pointers! Sally Link to comment

briarrose 0 Posted April 7, 2004 This is GORGEOUS!!!!! I am just *green* with envy over this shot--sure wish I'd taken it! :-) I like the darkness in it at the bottom, with the ominous orange sky and the beleaguered fortress in the background... I think it works really well. I also like the diagonal vignetting effect--draws your eye through photo the way a ray of sun peeping through would. Superb work!!! :-) Link to comment
