clauder 0 Posted April 1, 2004 Please see the large version, as the jpeg and PN compression is not doing the pic anything good... The print by far doesn't look this oversharpened! Any comments welcome! Link to comment
benoit_friry 0 Posted April 1, 2004 I think the right curve of the face should'nt have been cut Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted April 1, 2004 I see what you mean about viewing it large! (You have just given me an idea for a photograph!) Strange as it may seem, I have never looked at any of my own photos (large) on p.n. Obviously I don't know how the print looks but I do like this. I am not sure if this gentleman is famous or not but the photo makes him look so! What else can I say? It's a portrait.... a rather good portrait! Link to comment
clauder 0 Posted April 1, 2004 Well thank you for the Gentleman, I'm not too sure if I deserve that title (even though I try hard :->) But I'm sure as hell not famous! (who knows what life may bring though)A friend in MUC asked for a picture of me, so I thought I could use the occasion to try out something diffrent! I must say I'm quite pleased with the result, makes me look better than in reality :-)Anyways, thanks as always for your comment, feel free to be inspired by the picture (I think that's one of the biggest compliments you could make to an artist...), I'm looking forward to see your interpretion of it!Regards, claude Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted April 1, 2004 Claude, it wasn't your picture that is inspiring me it was the word 'BIG.' I will take the picture tomorrow and if it works I will upload it. However, so as not to disappoint you too much, I will mention you in the credits! I didn't realise this was you! DUH! Obviously you have your portrait uploaded. I guess we all look different with the cameras removed from our faces! Many say I look better with the camera in front of my face! I will thank you for not agreeing! Link to comment
clauder 0 Posted April 1, 2004 Well I must have gotten that wrong then... Not a big deal! I'm not disappointedwell yes, my portrait with the camera looks a little bit diffrent, but it was taken only a month ago or so, so I haven't changed much (and if, then only for the better I hope :-> )I'm not really the person to judge if you're better with a camera in front of you, but I'll have to agree in some way that I prefer you with a camera, that way we get to see new work from you!BTW, I never really saw you in that uploaded selfportrait, I just keep looking at those girls... at least those 2 suit you well :-) Link to comment
