Flowers have their own sexuality, and this particular red tulip

seemed especially especially intent on advertising its procreative

abilities. My garden. Nikon F100, Nikkor 35-70 zoom f 4.0~5.6 zoom

2/3 x Vivitar closeup lens, Kodak Max print film. Printed full

frame, no Photoshop, no manipulation whatsoever and as seen in

viewfinder.

I think you should concentrate more on the centre of the flower - the petal close to the camera on the right is too intrusive and distracting.

I don't mind lower ratings and critiques when they are on the mark and yours are on the mark. I may have to wait until next Spring to reshoot, but I'll have other opportunities to implement what you've shown me. Thank you for taking the time. (Oh, and by the way, the comment about saturation -- the original photo actually had MORE saturation because the flower is red, the light on the flower was reflected red and the light coming from the flower passed throught the red petals before being reflected into the lens -- in effect it was so saturated I had actually to "UNsaturate" the photo a little before anyone would even believe it was real.
