I find these beautiful flowers a lot of fun to photograph, especially when they

are corralled and herded together in the same building. It slows the normally

fast creatures down a little :-)

I'm sorry - I couldn't resist it. But indeed the Fuqua Orchid Center in Atlanta,

GA is a great place to photograph. However there are no tripods allowed.

The orchid it self is remarkably resolved and evenly lit for a back lit shot. Did you fill this with flash or was there a lot of bounce or difuse lighting in addition to the back light? There is something awkward about the composition...do you think it is due to the slightly off center positioning, or the slightly distracting stem?
