navarra 0 Posted March 30, 2004 Fantastic shot, truly impressive. I would have liked a marginally different position (all in the frame) of the speaker on the right, but truly an exceptional image. Simone Link to comment
robert goldstein 0 Posted March 30, 2004 I have little to add to all the praise that has been justifiably heaped onto this photograph. I even love the referee's foot sneaking into the frame at the bottom left. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 31, 2004 It doesn't get any better than this - right up to the ref's hand restraining the boxer and the faces in the crowd... Link to comment
charodiez 0 Posted March 31, 2004 Everything conveys on the man´s face lying on the ground. Everyone is looking at it! No doubt a wide lens tells the whole story. Congrats. Link to comment
jeremy_podolski 0 Posted March 31, 2004 This photo is brimming with emotion - where so many sports shots are now dominated by the 600mm plus super telephoto lens, you've told an incredible story in an instant. My favorite parts are the restraining hand of the ref, and the tense muscles in the victor's neck. The intensity is palpable. Link to comment

tabb 4 Posted April 1, 2004 Every once in a while being in the right place at the right time meets up with amazing talent, and something like this photo is created. Link to comment

andres_serna 0 Posted April 5, 2004 A Superb capture with a excellent lens in right hands and just in moment. and again wooooa. Link to comment
g2imaging 0 Posted April 26, 2004 I do not think you can take a better sports journalism photograph. If a picture can tell a story in one word, this image does. It tells many stories, the boxers, the fans, the location... The only thing missing is my beer! Congratulations on such a fantastic photography (on which I commented on before). Gregory (also a boxing photographer to a limited extent). Link to comment
claude flener 0 Posted April 26, 2004 Absolutely brilliant shot. You really got it all together here, timing, composition, exposure. There is nothing you could have done to improve this photograph, IMO. I like the sepia tone as well. It adds a lot to the atmoshere. Link to comment
andrew_lee2 0 Posted April 26, 2004 Let me add to the chorus of monosyllabic praise. This is a great image, and a photonet POW that I can actually get excited about, a POW that actually has a pulse. Well done. Link to comment
andy e 1 Posted April 26, 2004 Yes indeed. This POW has it all and says it all. A brilliant piece of sports photojournalism. Congratulations on an outstanding image. Link to comment
yonkers 0 Posted April 26, 2004 What great composition! The ref holding back the fighter, the corner guy with a beaten look on his face, and of course the fighters themselves. The sepia tone makes this seem like it was taken back in the 1920s, like this was Jack Dempsey or something. Awesome! Link to comment
nick g 0 Posted April 26, 2004 Perfection. Your talent has hit the lottery. Great job! Link to comment
robert holmes 0 Posted April 26, 2004 Sure, it's a good ringside shot, - just like I used to see in the newspapers forty and fifty years ago......BUT, is there is there some special reason for converting it from colour to black and white?...Is it more "artistic"? Link to comment
