watermelonhead 0 Posted March 28, 2004 This is my first post on this form so I think it is befitting that I post my first ever sporting event photograph. I feel like this could have been a nice shot but I could not get the proper framing. I think the problems are pretty obvious but my question is what can do now to fix/improve it? I would like to get a descent print out of it for my wifes office if I could. Is there a way to either "add" more photgraph to the right side using photshop or perhaps move the horse to the left? Perhaps a clever crop? Whatever the case I have learned a new respect for sports photographers. Link to comment
michael_kubota 0 Posted March 28, 2004 Yeah- this is a tough shot. I think the best thing to do would be to crop the left 1/6th or so of the frame. Depending on what size you want to print, you might have to take some off of the bottom too. For example: If you want to go 5x7, you may have to crop more off of the bottom than if you go 8x10 because 8x10 is more square than 5x7. Also, keep in mind that you want to keep around 180 pixels per inch; so if you want an 8x10, you will need resolution somewhere around 1400x1800. Hope this helps! Link to comment
