katie s 0 Posted July 11, 2001 This shot was taken at approx 5pm in Sydney at Centenial Park. I am using a 80-200mm lens on a Canon Eos500. Thank you for taking the time to critique this phot, any feedback you could give me would be most helpful. Link to comment
mark newcombe www.mcnphoto 0 Posted July 12, 2001 Nice shot Katie, a density filter could have helped a little with the sky. Well done and welcome to photo.net. Mark Link to comment
mark_meaney 0 Posted July 13, 2001 Well spotted - my 2 cents would be to try and remove the background by cropping or tilting the camera down. Another thing to try might be to go above the birds, shoot down and fill the frame with the two lines of birds. It's a pity the day was overcast as it would have brightened up the scene. Well done. gauthier 0 Posted October 11, 2001 Good idea, but the birds just don't fill the frame enough. You should get rid of the plain background and tilt the camera a bit to get more birds. The blue tone of the photo is due to the overcast weather, but maybe your scanner doesn't help. You can fix it somewhat with your scanner software: try reducing the amount of blue by about 10% and see what you get. Link to comment
