raghu 0 Posted July 17, 2001 Any opinions on this composition? Also, please take the time to critique the other photos in my folder. Thanks! Link to comment
genevieve_zevort 0 Posted July 17, 2001 I like it a lot, mostly because it is very simple and therefore showcase the architectural lines. I would have liked it to be a tad lighter on the writing but I understand you would have washed out the yellow of the roof. Link to comment
philip_harle1 0 Posted July 17, 2001 I like it a lot. Simple, dramatic, technically excellent - great shot! Link to comment
kaiblanke 1 Posted July 18, 2001 Great shot, nice contrast and excellent exposure for this subject. I also tried this shot but failed (compared to you) due to exposure compensation. But I think the framing on the right side is a little tight, but that's an issue of hardware - maybe a 6*6 would fix it ;-) Kai Link to comment
gil_archway 0 Posted July 20, 2001 Nice angle! You are the first to shoot in this angle. It's nice. Nice contrast and colors too. Take a look in my try: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=256242 Link to comment
vuk_vuksanovic 0 Posted August 4, 2001 This is easily your "outstanding" effort so far, although, as with some other shots in this folder, it's the sort of pic B&W would bring out a lot more in. I suggest studying this one carefully and applying what you acheived to future attempts. The pictorial motion within the frame and levels of depth are critical factors here to my eye. BTW--that tiny bit of black halfway up on the left and up against the edge should have been avoided in a picture this geometric and precise. The error, combined with poor film choice, has cost you a point or two ;-) Link to comment
