devin_s 0 Posted July 10, 2001 The snowboarder gets lost in the mountains, especially since he is wearing brown and the part of the mountains he is in front of is brown as well. See if you can get him against the sky by getting down below him. This will also result in a more dramatic picture. Link to comment
umd 0 Posted July 10, 2001 Nice catch of action but the surfer is a bit lost in the background which is of almost same color and brightness. Link to comment
ben carlson 0 Posted July 11, 2001 I would most likely crop this differently... you have the exposure correct, and your shot is good... definitely gets the point that this guy has just left the safe confines of a steep slope... but the snowboarder is just in limbo... needs to have the perspective changed... are we looking back on where he just was? are we looking at where he is going? do we need to see the air above his head? Just my opinions... bcarlson@denniskirk.com Link to comment
boko 0 Posted July 13, 2001 Beautiful image Mark. The snow rider/surfer is a little lost in that scape. I think as a narrow panoramic this image woulld be a little more dynamic. Link to comment
fotoman 0 Posted September 1, 2002 I spend quite a bit of time in the back country. Don't you hate when you find someone who got the nads to go for it, but they all insist on wearing grays or dark colors. I know how hard it is to carry your board+gear+camera into the BC then try to get your buds to take the extra 5 min while you try and get set for a shot. So good job, and get what you can when you can. It all good when at the end of a rippin day you have a couple of snaps to look back at. =0) Link to comment
