magradze 0 Posted March 25, 2004 The year I was born, in different country (which doesn't exist anymore) and in different world. But this photo looks like photos of my father taken in 70-ies. That time had very special vibe. As for the photo - it is as good as most of your works! Link to comment
dennisdixson 0 Posted April 9, 2004 Lots of looks and very sparse feedback. That is typical of this venue. These days it is a bold move to submit a full frame of film with keystoned verticals and out of focus forgrounds. I like it though because it is so telling of a moment in time where two people may have been having a casual conversation or making a major decision about what to do with the rest of their lives. These days an undoctored print is a rare and refreshing thing to behold. Ninety percent of the photographers here would have cropped fifty percent of the frame. I think this is a good example of a very important principle of photography, "subject & context." Most people crop away all the context in favor of the subject. I like it. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 2, 2006 This is a timeless image that makes one pause, study it for a while, and then sigh. Noticing the date enhances the sense of timelessness. Talk about capturing a decisive moment. Link to comment
