josep lluís grau 0 Posted March 22, 2004 Andres, me gusta mucho la composición. Creo que ha sido todo un acierto situar a la niña en el centro de la imagen. La luz y los colores dan una atmósfera muy lograda a la imagen. Saludos. Link to comment
dibaphoto 0 Posted March 22, 2004 wonderful lighting. the picture makes me smile. but my only issue is her being right in the middle, possibly a bit to the right would perfect it. Link to comment
sushrut_patel 0 Posted March 23, 2004 Lovely colors, but I agree with composing the subject to the right, for greater impact. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
imanol 0 Posted March 23, 2004 Muy lograda imagen... Colorista ... y con un mensaje ... !Felicidades! Me hubiera gustado algo menos centrada de todas formas... :) Link to comment
brandonhamilton 0 Posted March 23, 2004 I love this image. I like the other image of her a little bit better however. I think this picture works really really well being so far from the subject. LOVELY. Link to comment
andres_serna 0 Posted March 23, 2004 I want to clarify that these and the other image were taken at a distance, the takings were by surprise, are totally natural. Link to comment

bruce_jones3 0 Posted March 25, 2004 It's a great theme and the bright daylight can lend a certain quality to the field and the highlights off the child's hair, for example. But the placement is wrong compositionally and it's a bit too far back. It would gain strength by being closer and with the subject positioned according to the traditional rule of thirds. I'll include an example, please excuse by manipulation of your image but I only mean to use it to illustrate. Also the color balance and contrast/saturation looked off so I adjusted them for a more normal looking daylight setting. Finally, loose the frame, they are garish signs of an amateur. They only serve to distract from your work. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted March 25, 2004 Bruce Jones' effort is very interesting and worth considering. But the original shot was good enough as to enable that effort.Me gusta mucho! Link to comment
brandonhamilton 0 Posted March 25, 2004 Don't listen to bruce Jones. You cannot hold any credibility in any person that says something like "But the placement is wrong compositionally". Correct placement is subjective. You may not like the subject centered, but that doesn't make it wrong. USUALLY using the rule of thirds will add to a photo, and USUALLY perfectly centered subjects like this somehow take away from a photo, but not always. I am no longer sure that this photo would be better with the subject off at 1/3. It certainly looks better this way then the 1/3 example you have posted. Link to comment
