You are just too crowded here. Zero in a little more on your subject and zero out the rest of it. Maybe use a different dof.

Good point Thomas, I think you are right.

 

Jennifer- I did consider cropping more at the top, but I'm not sure how much that would help. I agree it is a somewhat busy photo. The sepia print looks pretty good, but the horse doesn't stand out very well in the print either.
