and I in no way find this offensive. I am still new, and have not gotten into photographing nudes yet, but all the same, I LOVE THIS PHOTO!!! I have a husband and 3 children, and this is the part of my body that allowed all of that to happen. I wouldnt have a husband or children if it werent for this one part of my body(lol). The femal organ has alot of uses, and you were able to display it as something beautiful, and not porno like. Just as I see it. Bravo! you have my vote!!!

I can't help but wonder whether the absence of pubic hair is consistent with presenting 'femininity', or an idealised male 'image' of something better? Some of your other photographs show similar trimming or absence. It would be interesting to read views about why this is preferred to unmodified feminity. I am not expressing a preference, but questioning reasons, artistic or otherwise.

... it simply is for a better view of the beauty of the form. WIth hair it would be different, not better or worse, just different. A "hairy" representation from the same angle would deliver a different feel of the same image, it would be overcrowded with details which would distract from the abstraction of the beauty of the presented form.

I thought a vulva was a car...?? JUST KIDDING!

In the context it was presented I like the photo. If I saw it in a family album I'd have a heart attack! :-) It's all about prespective!

we can argue about the sufficient conditons but what usually makes or breaks the work of art is the quality of its execution and the complexity of it formal structure (yes, even in the Black Square, if you look at it long enough). reading too much into the image is a fine passtime for an observer but when the artist strains too much to produce a message, you know what usually comes out ;)

this is a perfectly composed, subtly toned image of a complex human form. beautiful work!

Hello Michael,

I agree with Mrs. Brandy, an excellent shot and very sensual, love the light tones and deep shadows.

Cheers.
