This is a color picture. I took this picture on the 1st day of 2001. The interesting thing is that the whole scene looks B&W however the traffic light is red. I didn't artificially add any color to the picture.

This picture is such a coincidence that the whole street was B&W

including those people's clothes on that snowy afternoon while the

only colorful spots in the scene were the red traffic light. I

captured it with Canon 28-135 IS, handheld. The IS function really

helped a lot.

I love photos that give an effect without digital dark room (don't get me wrong I do like digital dark room). But haveing done something naturaly or without effects is much more difficult then just adding it in. You did a great job with this shot. I love it.

The picture has great mood. I assume the picture was slightly underexposed and this also adds to the look of the picture
