A esta dama muchos la vemos en los sueños, nos da tranquilidad con su mantra de paz. Muy bien hecha, Jim, congratulaciones.

Well Jim, this is a first time when I see Polar Coordinates filter used with the purpose and geniality, also liquify.Like always this work is extraordinary piece of real art.You are moving the frontiers of the photography and showing us that the photography and photo illustrations are serious buisiness and deserving all attention and studing.Like always your ideas and concept are unique and something best and original in photo world what could happend.

By the way, look at the Eyes of Tiger.:)

My comment is a bit off topic.

Just loosely associated with the composition. There is a character in polish tales called Sir Twardowski (Pan Twardowski) who is often depicted sitting on a crescent moon (he is the only inhabitant of the moon according to the tales). I wondered whether other nations had similar figures in their traditions.

Not sure if my critique style is appropriate here so I'll just nod in appreciation and thank you for all the insight amigo.

Thanks Jim. Sorry for digressions and highjacking this space. I dont have to tell you that I like the image. Taking on mythology and dreams is not an easy task and that makes your images even more praiseworthy.

This is a topic that is endless, since the mind can go anywhere in dreams.

This composition is best viewed large; the smaller image has a "square" on the woman's face that isn't there on the larger image. I like the egg-like shape. I find the bottom of her skirt isn't quite right, though - it's maybe a little squared off and not flowing like material would. Is that a bear's face on the right of the lady, mouth open?

I eagerly await the next installment...

One thing I havent mentioned before. It seems new in your images. She appears to be translucent. On the skirt: even understanding your intentions, it seems the only crude element in the image.

Another imaginative creation Jim. One of your very best. I'm curious, do you sell your work? Regards, Martin Paul.

as soon as I opened this image I thought: this reminds me something. It has taken me a while, but now I know: it reminds me of " la papesse" second major arcan of the tarots. There are only two things missing: the book of secrets and the key of mystery.

Jim, you certainly have captured the mythic feel of folklore in this image. I'm again sorry that were are so limited in not being able to view all the rich detail and texture in this image which is lost even when viewed large. I am curious about the symbolic figure to the woman's right side. Can you elaborate?

I really think that if you will create a new set of images for tarots, you'll fall in love with them: there so much symbolism, history and future in them that you will be surprised! Regards.

I thought for sure that was a bear's face! Funny how people see different things in your images. Your compositions are so detailed and it's a shame that you lose some of that posting on PN.

NOTE: Most of you will probably notice that I have rated this image lower than most people. As such I think that it deserves an honest comment.

NOTE: I have no beef with the creator of this image. Nor am I getting revenge on him/her. I am just giving my honest critique of this image.

1. If this were PhotoShop.Net or PaintShopPro.Net, then I think that the ratings (of 7/7) are probably appropriate. It is obvious that the creator of this image has a great deal of expertise with image manipulation.

But this is Photo.Net. As such, I think that the image should look like a photo and not an illustration.

2. I have noticed that the author has gotten quite a fan club here. I wonder what the ratings would be like if they didn't know who the picture came from. Jim: You might want to submit an image under another login and see what type of ratings you get. I wonder if you are getting high ratings because you have lots of friends!

3. Personally, I don't think that the image is pleasing to the eye. (As they say, art is in the eye of the beholder). It doesn't give me a sense of peace, tranquility, love, etc. It is supposed to be of a dream, but it looks more like a nightmare (because of the dark coloring). It gives me the sense of danger and/or evil. The light area surrounding the "woman" looks a little like fire, and the "eyes" of the "embryo" are red, both of which reminds me of the devil.

...only admiration for your creativity... that's why I'm a big fan of your work. Superb artistic image.

Well, at least "Some Body" agrees with my view. Like some other images by the author, this looks like a BARBIE DOLL and/or POSER rendering. As such, it's a very nice photo art exercise. However, the author intends it to be so much more than that, and that's where it simply falls short.

Hey Mark:

Only in my dreams! A G4 with 1GB of memory. The main thing with PS is to make sure images get processed in RAM -- and not on the scratch disk. --jim
