kevinbick 0 Posted March 6, 2004 I have taken quite a few of this hut. In my opinion this is my best. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted March 6, 2004 I haven't seen the others of the hut (yet!) This is a nice pic. Not sure about the tree to the left though! Please feel free to rate / comment on / critique any of my photos! Link to comment
joel_alves 0 Posted March 6, 2004 Great perspective. I love the light, and REFLECTIONS. Please take a look in http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2185756 and see the REFLECTIONS. Congratulations. Joel Link to comment
bryan olesen 0 Posted March 7, 2004 A very nice scene. I was trying to decide on the tree to the left, and have decided that it actually points (guides) the viewer right to the hut. Nice job. Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted March 8, 2004 Love the scene, first thing that caught my eye is the sky isn't as nice as it could be. Reflection looks ok, but sky is .... drab? Still love the red. Can't wait to see more shots of these structures. Link to comment
shadow-island 0 Posted March 8, 2004 Very good color and compostion. I like the reflections and agree the tree stays. I think cropped out will take away from the prespective. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted March 8, 2004 Kevin, this is a great colourful image with a light that brings it to life. I like the detail in the apple crates, and the colour of the hut certainly makes me think apples. The tree on the left pulls it all together I think and stops the tree in the middle from splitting the image in half. Looks like a great place to stop. Show us more. Link to comment
martin_paul 0 Posted March 8, 2004 Wow, what a reflection. I found myself asking if it was PS ...it's so perfect! Great work. Link to comment
thomas_turk 0 Posted March 8, 2004 The reflection too near the original, I would have liked to see another shot with more ripples, give it an impressionist feel. and then, maybe made one more shot of just the reflection..that would be better than the contrived computor dali.isque mish mash by Goossens and co..or tiger with lady..which should be in a separate category..experimental computor stuff... yorick 0 Posted March 8, 2004 very attractive 'calendar' shot but the middle tree (with its reflection) really troubles me - divides the image in two. Link to comment
james_bencke 0 Posted March 8, 2004 Great job Kevin. I tend to agree that I like the tree on the left but the one in the middle is splitting the photo. Kepp going back and trying more views.....of course if you have my luck someone will decide to bulldoze the thing down and put up a condo! ;) Link to comment
thomas_turk 0 Posted March 8, 2004 I think the trees balance well, one dark and leaning, one upright and bright..cant cut them down, u know.. Link to comment
victor l 0 Posted March 9, 2004 What I especially like about your photograph is that the color of the sky in the reflection is so different from the actual color in the sky. It sort of gives you two choices about how you want to take in the buildings & background. I can stare at it a bit and kind of get lost in reverie looking at the overcast actual sky, then look down at the water and think of a spring or summer day, deep-blue sky, bright daytime colors, etc. Like two daydreams for the price of one! --Victor Link to comment
chubbs 0 Posted March 19, 2004 the lines cut this pix into four quarters. recomend cutting out two thrids of the reflection. whats the point of a mirror reflection? just to show the same thing upsdie down? this would be much nicer with out it. Link to comment
maria_di_liegro 0 Posted April 23, 2004 Hollis is so gosh darn pretty. One of my favorite New Hampshire towns. I've heard there are seven apple orchards in Hollis. This photo is really nice. I like this beat up orchard hut, not something you see in such a pristine town. Link to comment
forrest_davis 0 Posted August 29, 2004 I only wish the building was centered. Love the reflection. . . I think it shows the building's dimensions more fully. Link to comment
