I'm not qualified to comment on the high end lighting techniques you used here, but this is certainly an attractive picture. Are you sure these kids aren't from the Shire?

Mark, Not so much a critique as an endorsement of this fine portrait. A little soft when viewed large. Any softening filter used? Pretty standard lighting technique and also very successful. The dark clothing enhances the brightness of their faces forcing the roving eye back to those two important elements. You do us an injustice with only one posted photo. I suspect you have many more worthy of publication here. Let's see some! I've not bothered rating as even a 7/7 wouldn't affect the average much. My bet is the parents/grandparents of these two will provide you with all the validation you need. Best, LM.
