terry_lockitch 0 Posted March 29, 2004 Interesting but out of focus space is a distraction- I'd suggest some cropping (perhaps a square starting at bottom right to mid top left) Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 28, 2005 I actually quite like the oof space. It gives off a large and expansive feel compared to what appears to be the shoes of someone small. gives me the whole world is huge compared to me feel. Knicki Link to comment
seven 0 Posted April 28, 2005 Makes one look twice to decipher any possible message. I wonder whether colour or mono is the more appropriate medium. Perhaps mono might be more atmospheric, appealing as it would to the emotions. Different in any event. Link to comment
blago 0 Posted April 28, 2005 You know, seeing a similar subject always brings me back to this photo. That's how Josef Koudelka is depicting the invasion of the Soviet troops in Prague in 1968. A great PJ shot, never mind the poor technical quality. I'm not going to compare this photo with the Koudelka's masterpiece but I cannot see the meaning of it. If there is nothing interesting to look at down there, then using the selective focus is a right decision. The pavement is pleasingly blurred. Maybe, we should know more about the place. "Sedemmilove", does it mean 7 mills? Bratislava, Slovakia, a part of the former Czechoslovakia, Prague, Koudelka... I'm giving up. :-) Regards. Blago Link to comment
