Visiting Malcata Nature Reserve I stopped in Meimao, a tiny and beautiful village in the middle of the Reserve. And there, this lady was having a chat with another one and looking after her kitten in fron of a flower pot with some roses. Well, as march, 8th is aproaching, allow me to make a little homage to all the Worker Women.

A beautiful portrait shot, but I personally think the rose detracts from the image being presented. Just my .02

 

Also - I just noticed her hands are huge! What was your lens set to?

Hands look big as I was taking the shot from nearly the ground level. But, still in reality her hands were bigger than usual. I would call them "working hands".

Great work of art, you knew what you wanted to say and have said it. I like the rose and the border it is more like art than photography. Keep up the great work!

El retrato me encanta, la expresion de la cara...y las manos definen al personaje. Lo que me sobra es la rosa y el enmarcado.
