acrummey 0 Posted July 5, 2001 I believe the small size of the figure adds to the atmosphere. It seems to be a comment on how isolated we can be in the midst of the surrounding city. I also like how the bridge creates an upper bound to frame the image. I like it, good work. Quote Link to comment
ken_zeman 0 Posted July 7, 2001 What a wounderful picture! Sure reminds me of my youth in San Francisco. There is a song with lyrics that go"sitting on the dock of the bay, watching the tide go out", or something like that. Anyway it brought a tear to my eye and that's a good thing....... Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay by Steve Cropper and Otis Redding-------------- Sittin' in the morning sun, I'll be sittin' when the evenin' come. Watchin' the ships roll in, Then I watch 'em roll away again. Yeah, I'm sittin on the dock of the bay, Watchin' the tide roll away. Ooh, I'm just sittin' on the dock of the day, Wastin' time. I left my home in Georgia, Headed for the Frisco bay. I have nothin' to live for, Look like nothin's gonna come my way. So I'm just gonna sit on the dock of the bay, Watchin' the tide roll away. Ooh, I'm just sittin' on the dock of the day, Wastin' time. Looks like nothin's gonna change; Everything still remains the same. I can't do what ten people tell me to do, So I guess I'll remain the same. Sittin' here restin' my bones, And this loneliness won't leave me alone. Two housand miles I roam, Just to make this dock my home. Now I'm just gonna sit at the dock of the bay, Watchin' the tide roll away. Ooh, I'm just sittin' on the dock of the bay, Wastin' time. jo_o_gon_alves 0 Posted July 20, 2001 There have been some beautiful summer afternoons lately, and this picture took advantage of the marvellous light Lisbon has in the afternoon. Hope you like it. I'm curious to know if the young man alone in the pier works, or is he too small. I wanted to capture the whole bridge so little crop was done. Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment
