For me, this is a great shot. I prefer a tighter crop. Forgive me but I played with this for a moment. I couldn't resist. The cropping, for me, helps to add to the empty feeling the title is referring to.

 

Or, maybe not. Either way, I like this photo.

TC, i played with a similar idea but couldn't quite decide which way i wanted to go. the front tree on the left's cropping i am not sure i was happy with in the one i originally pasted. your cropping certainly has a more lonely/desolate feel to it. thanks for stoppin' by!
