Grrr..

Please take a moment to critique, I'm learning how to shoot with a

model and would love any input, tips, pointers, advice, do's % don'ts.

Thing on sand under left hand. Hard to learn to watch out for that. I've plenty of shots w/people w/telephone poles growning out of their head.

Very nice exposure and tonality. I think a little less DOF would help out some of the semi-distracting background.

I'm starting myself with photography - but in response to your request for input.., this image captured my attention, but my thought here is the right arm should not have been cropped out of the image, and the line created by the white sand and the dark ground above it is distracting. I think if the sand covered the entire background - behind her head, this would be a stronger image placing more emphasis on the subject. I like the tonality - the subtle shading and highlights on her skin.

I don't know what DOF is, I'll have to look that one up...but the sand line, the thing under the hand and cutting off her arm...that's good to know info Thank You! and I'm glad the skin tones and shadows are done well....
