adam_broadaway1 0 Posted March 1, 2004 Nice depth of field. Great color and composition. I kinda wish the person to the right of the hammock wasn't there. It's still a neat picture. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted April 4, 2004 Jeff, I tend to agree, do a tighter crop if you must otherwise include the lady. Link to comment
jshaw.photo 0 Posted April 5, 2004 Thanks for you critques. I agree with the cropping 100%. Since the original photo includes a neck and half a chin (I guess I wasn't quick enough drawing my camera), and since I also wanted to include the ropes on either side of the swing, I was at a loss deciding what to do, because the children, (my niece and nephew) are so adorable. alecee 0 Posted April 10, 2004 Hi Jeff, do you live in the Philippines? I didn't know Batangas is way down south more than 100kms from Manila, even further than Lake Taal. Although Philippines have many rural areas I'm impressed with the upscale development in Manila. Their tourism areas can rival the best in the world. I travel about 4 times a year to Philippines since 1995 and have witnessed the fast changing environment just like in China. BTW, appreciate your support on my image "Window shopping in Korea". Thanks. Link to comment
jshaw.photo 0 Posted April 10, 2004 No, my wife is from the Philippines, so I have come to love the Philippines like I love my wife. Unfortunately, most of the negatives from my only trip there were not properly dried before they were put in their sleeves. As for the critics: If you've taken any photography classes, or held up your photos for comment, you can't get through them without those kinds of arrogant comments. Most days you can take it, some days you can't. I suppose I just woke up too early this morning, is all I can say. ;) Link to comment
