This image was achieved with me, a cold rainy day, the top half of dutch doors, a desk lamp lamp and of course, my trusty Nikon and Sigma wide andle.

I may venture to answer Nils's worry. looks obvius to me that your right hand is holding a cables release... Might I be right in my guess?

In any case, again, a tremendously unveiled selfconfession. You're among my favourites, Tiffany.

B.T.W. Araluce sounds Spanish... or might it be Colombian?

No cable release. Just a sense of urgency.

Araluce is actually a Basque name. It belongs to my ex-husband. I believe it translates to "of the light", which is one of the reasons I have kept it.

Well, since I will be taking my fiance's name in several months, that clarification will make the name change easier....somehow, 'long valley' does not conjure up the same spiritual image for me as 'of the light'. Leave it to the Basque to have a completely different definition than the traditional Latin word root.

Let me congatulate you on the coming name change and not beacuse of the change itself but because of the happy reason that will result in leaving behind a "long valley"...

Congratulations, there is always more light in the plains than in the narrow valleys of the Basques...

I see that some good people came here long ago to tell you they liked this composition. So do I. Effective and balanced while geometrically strong. That so often beats all sorts of complicated things in photography... and most PS works as well, if you get my drift...:-) Cheers.
