Like this one a lot. The almost gray and white for the bottom portion is neat, I might even take it all the way to black and white and then just reclone in the color of the trees. Nice job.

I find the background too cluttered

I agree with the background comment--I was drawn, even by the thumbnail, by the colors of the trees. How about layering a gaussian blur mask in PS and carefully adding some DOF to exclude the background slightly? would draw the first to the trees, and then downward to the lonely man. Nice shot...

ike it, maybe taking the bottom half completely to black and white

Nice tonality and subject but I am not convinced this was the best angle for this shot. Maybe a bit more to the left and lower might have worked better??
