rob t. 1 Posted February 24, 2004 Had to pull some strings to get in on the weekend! Should I crop more on the sides? Comments appreciated. Link to comment
adrianhinojosa 0 Posted February 24, 2004 It feels a little static without people in it. Link to comment
thomas_breazeale1 0 Posted February 24, 2004 Hello Rob.I think this was a good effort but would have been more effective with a straight on composition to show both sides of the ceiling equally.Just not balanced IMO Link to comment
rkynast 1 Posted February 24, 2004 I do not think you should crop anything with this. I like the off-center look, partly because it is less common. Link to comment
rob t. 1 Posted February 24, 2004 Thomas- I do actually have a shot that is exactly what you describe...straight down the middle. I don't think it is as effect, mostly due to the fact that the lighting was going right to left. the shot down the middle didn't have enough bright tones in it, and it comes across quite muddy in comparison. Also, the arches on the side don't show as well on the straight ahead shot. Link to comment
gaetanchevalier 5 Posted March 12, 2004 Very nice capture. Great composition and excellent metering. Link to comment
rob t. 1 Posted March 16, 2004 Thanks Gaetan- The advantage to using a spotmeter- you always know what you are going to get (assuming you take the time to meter several different portions of the scene). Link to comment
melissa_eiselein 0 Posted July 17, 2004 I know this place. Funny...it didn't seem nearly as pretty when I served jury duty there. :-) It is a beautiful building and you've done a great job catching--even enhancing--the beauty in your photograph. Link to comment
