Spreading His Wings

This is with one of the first rolls of film through my new F100.

The autofocus on the F100 is lightning fast. Also first camera that

allows me to rate a film at a different ISO. I metered this shot

using Center-Weighted metering with Kodak Porta 400 UC, rated at

320. I have read many places on Photo.net that this film should be

rated at 320. Honestly, I don't know if it's the center-weighting

or the 320, but I think the goose's chest is blown out too much.

 

Any comments or suggestions?

I like the shot and after looking at your other photos, I must agree with you... the chest is a little on the high side.

 

Looks like the shot was taken late afternoon? If so, I think I would have let the "golden" color come through a little more. $.02

Nice capture and composition. A little too dark tho, detail falls off, at least on the web it does, in the dark areas of the geese.
