stp 6 Posted February 22, 2004 I like the transitory nature of shadows on sand that is swept clean by the tides and waves; not much chance of a permanent human footprint here. Great capture of the shadows and color in the sand. I scrolled the image down, and I also like the greater simplicity when the cresting wave is removed. Link to comment

sarah marie jones 0 Posted February 22, 2004 Outstanding Shot Linda. I've never been to New England and I am astounded by the color of the sand. Is this typical ? The balance of colors is wonderful. I do wonder if the breaking surf adds or detracts from the image... To me the power in the photo is in the lower 2/3rds. Best regards, sarah Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted February 22, 2004 Sarah, the sand color is due in part to late afternoon sun. I agree with you and Stephen about an alternate crop, but I also like the additional ocean reference and color that it brings to the shot. Thank you all for your kind coments! Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted February 22, 2004 Yes, ice cream "hot" dogs and sunshine, how you must long for that after your bitter cold Winter ! The smile this brings to all, should help ease the discomfort a bit ! (Good Humor....The Icecream Man ?) *R* Link to comment
